Operating out of beautiful Kelowna, British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley, MadFox Theatre was formed to bring unpredictable and unforgettable live theatre performances to the BC Interior. The MadFox team is constantly finding new ways to set the bar; from progressive spins on old classics, to exciting new Canadian works, and everything in between.
Pete MacLeod
Artistic Director & Founder
Pete MacLeod is a Canadian actor and producer whose screen credits include Monster in the Family opposite Elisha Cuthbert, F*** Marry Kill, and the upcoming Tombs, directed by Marie Clements. On stage, he has worked with companies including Caravan Farm Theatre and Fred Skeleton.
A regular part of the Okanagan's theatre scene for over 15 years, he built a reputation as the actor directors turn to when tackling work that is dark, complex, and challenging for its audiences.
He founded MadFox in 2019 so that work could exist more consistently in Kelowna.
Christopher Weddell
Founding Member
A graduate of the Playhouse Acting School, Christopher has played on stages in Europe and Canada.
Christopher is a founding member and past Artistic Associate of Bard On The Beach.
Weddell has written several plays, including the book and lyrics for the upcoming musical version of W. O. Mitchell’s Who Has Seen The Wind. Most recently, Christopher has directed Love and Information and his own adaptation of Gary Geddes poem cycle Falsework at The Canadian College Of Performing Arts.
Other directing credits include the Jessie nominated Richard II (Bard on the Beach), Mexico City/Little One, SeaWall (MadFox) and Waiting For Godot at Kaspar Theatre, Prague. A veteran acting mentor, Christopher has taught acting and Shakespeare workshops in Prague, Lennox, Massachusetts and all across Canada.
He is a past recipient of the Edmund Kean Sword Award from Bard On The Beach.
