Pete MacLeod
Pete is the founder and Artistic Director of MadFox Theatre, where he’s directed How I Learned to Drive, Hand to God, and the Canadian premiere of Tiny Beautiful Things, an adaptation of Cheryl Strayed’s New York Times Bestseller.
A regular part of the Okanagan's theatre scene for over 15 years, he built a reputation as the actor directors turn to when tackling work that is dark, complex, and challenging for its audiences.
He founded MadFox in 2019 so that work could exist more consistently in Kelowna.
Playwright
Alistair McDowall
Alistair McDowall grew up in the North East of England. Plays include: The Glow (Royal Court Theatre 2022); all of it (Royal Court Theatre 2020); Zero for the Young Dudes! (National Theatre Connections 2017); X (Royal Court Theatre 2016); Pomona (RWCMD/Gate 2014; Orange Tree Theatre/Royal Exchange/National Theatre 2014/5); Talk Show (Royal Court Theatre 2013); Brilliant Adventures (Royal Court Young Writers’ Festival 2012; Royal Exchange, Manchester and Live Theatre, Newcastle 2013) and Captain Amazing (Live Theatre, Newcastle and Edinburgh Fringe 2013; UK tour 2014).
He is a MacDowell fellow, and a recipient of the Harold Pinter Commission. His work has been translated and produced internationally.
Stage Manager
Lauren Frost
Lauren is a Vancouver Island-born director, playwright and stage manager. She completed her BFA in Theatre at UVic in 2020. She recently directed Marion Bridge for Red Dot Players, which was taken to the O-Zone Theatre Festival in May. She has also directed two self-written Fringe plays in the last three years. Recent stage management credits include West Moon for Red Dot Players and Deathtrap and The Girl On The Train for New Vintage Theatre.
Costume Design
Kelsey Messervey
Kelsey Messervey graduated from Dalhousie University's Costume Studies program in 2015. Her Halifax credits include costume design for the Halifax Summer Opera Festival, Villain's Theatre Company, and Matchstick Theatre Company, as well as work as a costume builder and Head Dresser at Neptune Theatre. Since moving to British Columbia, she has worked as a dresser for Bard on the Beach's 2023 productions of Harlem Duet and Romeo and Juliet. Kelsey is thrilled to be working on Mad Fox Theatre's production of Pomona.
Property Design
Michelle Deighton
Michelle is a founding member of MadFox Theatre, and has produced past productions including Little One, Hand to God, and How I Learned to Drive.
On stage she starred as 'Sugar' in the Canadian premiere of Tiny Beautiful Things, and in Erin Shields' monologue And Then There Was You.
Outside of MadFox she is the Executive Director of Kelowna's only TYA Company; Pixie & Dot

Casey Easton
Casey is a founding member of MadFox Theatre and has served the company both onstage and behind the scenes.
Onstage MadFox credits include: Tiny Beautiful Things, Hand to God.
Although no longer based in Kelowna, he is an essential driving force for the company's creative efforts.

Julia Laurenne Chambers
JULIA LAURENNE CHAMBERS (Ollie) is thrilled to be working alongside the talented cast,
crew and creative team of MadFox Theatre’s Pomona. Originally from Kelowna, she earned her
BFA in theatre from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as a double major in
journalism from NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
She is currently pursuing her
master’s in acting at the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House Actor Training
Program. Her recent stage credits include Aran in Epiphany (Cleveland Play House), Miss
Honey in Matilda the Musical (Kelowna Actors Studio), Maria in The Sound of Music (KAS),
Celia Peachum in Brecht’s The Threepenny Opera (Tisch Drama Stage), and Burleigh in
Schiller’s Mary Stuart (Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute).
In addition to her stage work,
she has appeared in festival-featured independent short films and written several editorial
stories for New York City’s leading theatre news publication, PLAYBILL®. She will next appear
in Pocatello by Samuel D. Hunter at the Cleveland Play House this fall.

Corey Hendricks
Corey is very excited to be performing in this show! He has had the privilege to act in many plays and musicals in the Okanagan such as Jason/Tyrone in Madfox’s production of Hand to God, Bud in Gutenberg! The Musical (The Creative House), Steve in A Streetcar Named Desire (Sassafras and Co.), and SpongeBob Squarepants in The SpongeBob Musical (New Vintage Theatre). He has had a blast working alongside such a great group, and hopes you enjoy the ride.

Carly Fawcett
Carly Fawcett is an award-winning Canadian actress, director, and producer known for unapologetic performances - bringing sharp wit and emotional depth to complex, flawed women.
Her passion for storytelling started at age four - whenever she could get her hands on her dad's Hitachi video camera. She went on to train seriously in the craft, graduating from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City, where she immersed herself in the Meisner technique. She has since worked professionally on sets and stages across Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, New York City, and Kelowna.
On stage, her credits include the multi-Dora-winning Canadian premiere of Jerusalem at Streetcar Crowsnest Theatre in Toronto. As a writer-director, her one-woman show Rock Bottom was a Fringe sell-out, earning "Pick of the Fringe" in 2021, while Hitch-hiked won her Best Director at OWTFF 2021.
Fawcett took home Best Actress for her lead in the indie drama Only People, which also won Best Feature at the Canadian Independent Film Festival (2019). Her screen credits include the Lifetime thriller Cradle of Deception (2024), Silver Creek, and A Perfect Christmas Carol, with past appearances on HBO, Crave Canada, Amazon Prime, and Lifetime Television.

Mikayla Jones
Mikayla (she/her) was lucky enough to be born and raised in the Okanagan before attending Musical Theatre School at Randolph College in Toronto. Mikayla once again lives in the beautiful Okanagan with her partner, dog, cat, and fish. She is a History and Indigenous Studies student at UBCO, pursuing a career in education. Recent theatre credits include Little Piglet in Little Piglet Gets a Sister (Pixie and Dot) and Letter Writer 3 in Tiny Beautiful Things(MadFox). Mikayla has been delighted to work with this phenomenally talented cast and creative team and hopes you enjoy (and are not too afraid during) the show! Many thanks to Pete for once again putting his trust in us to transport audiences to the weird, twisted, and liminal world of Pomona

Peter Church
Peter is excited to return to MadFox after performing in their production of How I Learned to Drive earlier this year. As a classical actor, he spent 10 years in Toronto’s Classical Theatre Project, logging hundreds of performances in productions of Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more.
As a playwright, Peter's adaptations of Frankenstein, It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol have been produced in Vancouver, Chicago, Detroit, and the Yukon.

Karliana DeWolff
Karliana is excited to be onstage playing the creepiest, most uncanny character she’s ever had the opportunity to embody! This is her first MadFox production. Some recent local credits include: Dogfight, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (The Creative House), and The Rocky Horror Show (New Vintage Theatre). She is also part of Kelowna improv troupe “The Moxie Mavericks.” Thanks to Pete for including me in this brilliantly bizarre show!

Malusi Mabeleka
Malusi is an artist whose work most recently spans music, film, and live
performance, but the theatre is where the journey began. It was there that he
first developed a love for storytelling and connecting with audiences, making
their Madfox debut with this story and cast, feel truly special. He is thrilled to
be part of bringing this story to life.
